Allstate Gospel Superfest Thrills Chicago Audience with 15th Annual Live TV Production Show Honors Hit Makers Mary Mary for Lifetime Achievement
Chicago, IL: On a chilly night in Chicago (Saturday, March 22, 2014) Allstate Gospel Superfest brings the heat as it played to eight thousand fans during its 15th annual TV recording. The night was power-packed with back to back show stomping performances. Held at the House of Hope Arena in Chicago, the show delighted it audience with its Broadway styled production that featured some of America’s top names in gospel music. The show paused to honor hit-sensations Mary Mary during the event with its Lifetime Achievement Award who graciously received the honor in front of adoring fans. The event was hosted by Wendy Raquel Robinson from the BET hit series “The Game” who hosted the Allstate Gospel Superfest for the third year. Wendy’s upbeat style and comedy kept the audience engaged. The Chicago audience enjoyed performances by Destiny’s Child member, Michelle Williams, James Fortune, Lonnie Hunter, The Chicago Mass Choir, Tye Tribbett, Malcolm Williams & Great Faith, Em Bailey, Lexi, Mary Mary, Jessica Reedy, Lisa Knowles & The Brown Sisters, Stan Jones, Paul Porter, The Williams Singers, Lamar Campbell & Spirit of Praise, Angel Taylor (formerly of Trin-i-tee 5:7) and a host of others.
The first installment from the mega session will air in national syndication between March 27th and April 20, 2014 with a special Easter Sunday broadcast in Chicago on WCIU TV 26 at 7:00 PM local time. Please check local listings for air dates and times in your area.
