I am a
16-year old Christian girl that loves Gospel music. specially Black Gospel
music. At first, I wasn’t really interested in Gospel music but then, I got
to know those Black Gospel singers, including Tye. I like him a lot and now
I don’t hear any secular music any more. Seriously, all songs on my I-pod
are Christian songs. Tye really inspires me. Firstly, the song, "Sinking". I
really love that song and I do agree with that song and that song really
makes me realize that me, even as a minister in church, can also have
"sinking" times. I bought the WOW Gospel 2008 DVD and that's why I knew
about the song SINKING.
I really like Tye. I watched his videos on YouTube but that was one video
that really made me interested and influenced. It was when Tye preached at
Mt. Zion Apostolic church. I am really inspired how a singer like him is so
anointed for preaching and praising. He’s not an ordinary singer. My faith
grew that one day. I pray I could be like him too, if it's God's will.
Sometimes, i don’t believe in myself but now I can’t even forget the video
and how Tye was used by GOD. It makes me have faith that I can be one, too.

Tribbett's Ministry has helped me through many obstacles in my life. Just
this past Tuesday, my mother had a mild heart attack and guess what was
playing on my radio...Stand Out by Tye Tribbett! I could've panicked, I
could've cried, I could've claimed things that were not true but then, when
I heard this verse in the song, "No Time To Compromise, The Devil Is A
Liar", it prompted me to pray, binding every attack from the enemy,
commanding every single thing out of the will of God. God was working.
I kept hearing Stand Out...Stand Out. Then, they played Everything, which made me get into worship. She was breathing. She made it seem like nothing had happened. When everybody else was panicking, I had to stand out and take a stand, be different from everyone else. I had to pray. No prayer, no power! Healing took place in the midst of my worship. God was working on my mother and dealing with me through just a simple song, God, You’re Everything to me! You’re my peace is all I kept hearing.
From that day forward, they found no trace of heart attacks. No more issues. God told me, “You see...I will take the simplest things and perform the impossible and the invisible!...something as simple as A song off the radio, telling me that people of God have to STAND OUT! My GOD! MY GOD! MY GOD! Praise God! That is how Minister Tye Tribbett and his ministry helped me.

Tribbett! What can I say? He’s an awesome, anointed brother who can really
get you dancing and feeling good inside. I was able to see him on the
Stellar Awards and the BET Awards and also on the Gospel Music Awards. He
is an exceptional, lively performer who makes you want to praise and worship
with every part of your being.
I was diagnosed with cancer in 2006 and am a 2-year survivor of breast
cancer. Hearing him sing really made me realize that God could heal me and
make me whole. I realized that I wasn't alone and that there were others
who were going through the same thing. My prayer life has gotten better and
I am reading the word of God more.
I recently became a teacher for our church's Saturday/Sunday school, where we teach children, ages 6-17, about God and it’s due to hearing Mr. Tribbett sing, which inspired me to ask God what he wanted me to do for the Kingdom. I encourage this young man to keep doing what he is doing. He is touching numerous lives, mine being one.

I would like to thank you for this opportunity to express my thoughts and
feelings for Tye Tribbett’s latest CD, Stand Out. To give you a better
understanding of my perspective, I would like to share with you who I am.
I’m from Buffalo, New York. I have been a born-again believer since 1999. I
am a Deacon in my church. I recently graduated with my Masters degree. I’ve
been married for nearly 8 years with three children, and I’m 34 years old.
I did not add these things to boast myself. I know I am nothing without God
in my life!
However, I have been in a very tumultuous season for the past few years and Tye’s CD, Victory, spoke to me and ministered hope into my life. I researched him through mutual friends to learn more about him as a minister, because one of my best friends is an accomplished musician. He told me how Tye is really walking before the Lord. I am also very familiar with Da’ TRUTH’s ministry and I know he does not minster with just anyone, so when they did a song together, I accepted Tye as a minister who uses music to bless the Lord, instead of an industry cat who uses music and God to advance himself.
Once I truly accepted Tye’s ministry, God began to speak to me about Tye’s next CD, this was before I knew anything about Stand Out. I would tell my friends that Tye Tribbett’s next CD will be a huge blessing to the Kingdom of God. It will be different from anything that is out right now and that it will be something very special. I prayed for him and the CD. I must say that when it finally came out, I bought it immediately, anticipating nothing but Greatness!!!!
When I first listened to the CD, I thought to myself that maybe I “over hyped” it a little bit. It was so different. Initially, I could not catch the vibe for it, until I finally listened to Good In The Hood for the third time. Once I heard the lyrics from that song, the rest of the CD opened up for me. Now after having the CD for a couple months or so and endlessly playing the album, I finally realized that it is the greatest complete CD I have ever heard.
This CD speaks to me as a Christian by encouraging me through the difficult times. I could speak about every song because they’re all perfect and inspired my family. On Look up, I love the melody and the flow of it, it is pleasing to the ear but the words are penetrating and comforting. Sometimes, I get down, waiting on God to make ways out of no way. The song reminds me to continue to look to the hills and that God has been there all the time and that He will come through for me and my situation. The song reminds the listener to grow spiritually and that there will be tough times but we can’t just sit back and have pity parties about it. We have to “look up” and trust that God will work it out and that He will give us the strength to make it through. (But that’s another song).
Lastly, through this song, I believe God spoke personally and directly to me, near the end of the song, where the flute is playing and the songs says “now, no matter what the situation is, stay together and look to Jesus...yeah yeah”. During this season, my wife and I were on the verge of separating. Here in this song, it says, “stay together and look to Jesus”. My wife and I are still together and we are trusting Jesus.
I am a true worshipper by nature so I’m in Heaven when Bless The Lord plays. I remember when the spirit began to move in my van one day, when the fullness of this song grabbed hold of my spirit. My eyes welled up, my heart began to race, my skin began to hive and bump up and all I could do is worship with all of my might. The anointed selection has a line that is sung over and over, “In the splendor of Your majesty, from deep within my spirit sings….Holy …….Holy” Whew! I had to take a moment and worship Him just then. The other praise and worship type songs are phenomenal because they intelligently describe God and how beautiful He is.
There is also a ton of scriptures in these songs, as well as reality, describing how the believer feels about God. On I Need You, Tye says, “I’m a wretch undone without you!”, which makes me think of Paul saying, “Oh wretched man that I am.”, which reminds us that we can’t live this life without God. That is why He is so amazing, strong and mighty, full of mercies and His name is above all others. I wish I could just talk about all the songs here. I will say that Hallelujah is my ringtone song. I love it. Wherever I’m at and I get a call that bad boy starts out real loud by saying, ”Let us worship, let us sing”. My kids come in singing it too. I don’t know how many missed calls I’ve had from letting the song play out and not answering the phone.
Musically, I have to say that his approach is broad, bold and daring. I’m extremely impressed that this CD was recorded live, with all of those instruments. I’m sure it took a lot of planning and organization. There are two to three different beats in each song, excellent usage of various instruments like the flute, acoustic guitars and horns. I like the blending of musical styles too.
I appreciate the far-reaching range of I Made It Through. This song was fantastic. My wife is the leader of the flag ministry. My sister-in-law is the leader of our dance ministry. I immediately began thinking of routines for them to minister this song through their ministries. The music was perfectly produced and the energy of it being live carries over through the CD as well.
In conclusion, Stand Out is the absolute greatest complete CD I’ve ever heard, secular or otherwise. It has encouraged me to be a better father, husband and Man of God by strengthening me to put on my armor and fight against the principalities that are at work to destroy me. I am inspired to speak up to a dying world about the ways of God and His love for His people. The worship songs have drawn me closer to God personally, and because of them, forced me to repent of things unpleasing to Him. This CD has stirred some of my gifts and I will be looking to follow the plan and purpose that I believe God has destined for me. Thanks Tye Tribbett and GA for a job well done!!!!!

I saw Tye Tribbett and GA at a Youth Cafe' one Friday evening at my uncle's church in North Philadelphia. He had not made his impact on the music industry, nationally as yet (but about 3 months later he did). I was the oldest youth in the sanctuary that night. I was afraid to go to North Philadelphia alone on a Friday night and I didn't want anyone to know that I was into that type of music, since most of my friends weren't.
Well, seeing him in that atmosphere and seeing his timeless anointing just had a release on me. I turned my husband, who couldn't get past the Caravans, on to Tye Tribett. Let me tell you. The Deacon would fight for Youth programs at our church and a change in the music ministry and telling folks to stop living in the past. He said, “listen to the words and stop judging by the beat because there is a ministry that is being lost while we are trying to hold onto the past, even when the past is dying and there is no one left to push our wheelchairs." We need to give the young people a chance as long as they are in the Word.
He still likes an Old Ship of Zion song, now and then but, his I-pod also has Darius Brooks, Israel & New Breed, Tye Tribett, Jonathan Nelson, John P. Kee and even Kirk Franklin, and Tonex. To God Be The Glory!
